Back to today’s episode, SH has yet to meet the parents but I like the way they gave a taster of the reunion. That scene where he runs along the shield trying to feel his parents was rather moving. Sometimes a break is needed after all the heavy fighting!

A good storytelling needs to be well-balanced and multi-layered, and PW does have the ingredients of a great story with a grand theme. The only downside is that the novel is peppered with constant fightings and annoying scoffing and sneering from the ever-present peanut galleries. But the donghua shows promising signs!

In the last weeks, I’ve witnessed how Fanren goes from strength to strength while Soul Land loses its direction and vision. **this is only my personal opinion** The main reason for a good donghua to go either way is the accurate portrayal of the MC, one that elevates the character and the people around him. Fanren’s scriptwriters nailed it every single time and I pray the same for PW!

PW is certainly not perfect, but if it keeps to the right course, it might live up to its title: a perfect donghua of a perfect world (that SH so longs for)!🤞

About Fanren totally agree, but MC from Fanren always has been smarter than Ts from soul land (he is like love addict). But this series is totally balanced he does not overact about his relatives - he still knows what is important and sees the truth. He cares about his parents but he knows what to do!

mhm this is why I mentioned before Shi Hao deserves whatever time he has to be with his parents, can't wait for next week and how the mother and future daughter in law banter it out lol

With Soul Land, it is like you said before, they probably decided that Soul Land 2 deserves more focus and attention than Soul Land, so we can tell, well those who can objectively see, that the quality of the scriptwriting has decreased.

For those wonder why this scene is being dragged on for so long, well it was supposed to be a cliffhanger for the ending of season 2, but they managed to finish or pass censorship for season 3 in time to continue on next week

And a word of advice, Perfect World's story will get darker as the story progresses, in many ways it is like the story is maturing and growing up

The animation is really well done with this one. You can see both the MC and his brother in their father's appearance. Some people be really devoted to their craft.

It is so unbelievably embarrassing how weak the father is. It's one thing to be imprisoned but the fact they were free to walk about and no one thought to cultivate and escape is just sad and disappointing
